Aluminum is a strong, lightweight, and sustainable metal that can be recycled indefinitely, through a process of re-melting the metal. Scrap aluminum recycling is energy efficient and money- saving. The process uses only 5 % of the energy consumed in the initial production of aluminum. In addition, recycling aluminum protects the earth’s natural environment from being destroyed, as open-cut mining for aluminum ore, is reduced.

Glass is one of many things that can be recycled and kept out of our landfills. In 2006 Americans dumped over 13 million tons of glass into local municipal trash services. Only 22% of that glass was recycled. That’s a very small fraction considering that every ounce of glass can be recycled and reused.

Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)
In 1992, Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) was introduced onto the French Market. The use of PET is now widespread due to its versatility in comparison to glass and other plastics. Comparing PET to glass you would find that it is far more durable and easier to ship. In comparison to other plastics, it is lighter and allows for optimum shipping. |
